Humans have understood the power of green stones for a very long time. The ancient Egyptians carved green onyx into amulets. The Greeks and Romans wore it as a talisman of protection and good fortune. And the Maya — a civilization so attuned to the living world that they mapped the cosmos with precision we still marvel at — valued jade above gold. They considered it a living stone. They associated its deep green with water, with corn, with sacred breath. It was the color of life itself. So sacred, they placed it in the mouths of their kings at death — believing it carried the soul safely into what came next.

Green was not just a color to them. It was a passage.

I've been thinking about that a lot lately. About what it means to carry something green close to your body. To let it remind you that you are alive, and growing, and becoming.

That is the energy of the Grove Collection.

I designed these pieces — a bezel-set necklace and earrings in 18k gold vermeil and sterling silver — from a place of 15 years of experience and a deeper sense of who I am. The simplicity of the bezel setting is intentional. It asks nothing of you. It only asks the stone to be seen.

A grove is not just a collection of trees. It is trees that have chosen — or been chosen — to grow together. Close enough to shelter one another. Rooted individually, but thriving because of what surrounds them. Ancient cultures across the world held their most sacred ceremonies in groves. They were considered holy ground. Places where growth happened with intention.

That is what this collection is named for.
