Inspired by the ancient Celtic love knot design, the Fleur de Knot represents unconditional infinite love for one another, as well as faith and prosperity.

The Fleur de Knot collection was born when I was 21 years old. I was living in Bangkok, Thailand while I completed my internship at a jewelry manufacturer who did a lot of production for Ireland and Europe in general. Their designs had a lot of Celtic inspiration. I had never seen so many Celtic designs in one place in my life! I noticed this simply, dainty and beautiful Celtic Love Knot ring - it was two separate rings, but they were intertwined together through the knot design. I thought to myself how neat it would be if I could create something similarly but with the fleur de lis, the symbol of my hometown of New Orleans.

I spent the next few days drawing and working the complexity of the design so that it functioned like the original ring I saw. I wanted the fleur de lis to be noticeably "entangled" within itself, yet be two separate rings. Eventually, I nailed it, and the Fleur de Knot ring became a reality.

That design became an instant hit and an international best-seller. Naturally, my customers were demanding matching earrings, necklaces and bracelets, and the Fleur de Knot Collection grew into what it is today. The FDK collection has become one of my most recognized and iconic designs to date, and holds a very special place in my heart because it was inspired by the Celts, a group of spiritual devotees with a lot of reverence and respect for Mother Earth, and a deep understanding of unconditional, infinite love.

In fact, I authored this article on Why The Celts Inspire Me & What You Can Learn From Them, which I recommend for additional reading on the subject.
