Diamonds are forever, and so is the human spirit... but not our lifetime on this planet. Skulls have always served as a reminder of our mortality. One of my favorites quotes is that "without a constant reminder of death one can never truly live freely." I have a skull tattoo on my left forearm to remind me of exactly this fact. This is my reminder that my time here is limited and what I choose to do with my energy should always be chosen consciously.
